General Information
Alarmdc Güvenlik Teknolojileri A.Ş. (referred to as "Alarmdc") takes the necessary security measures to ensure that your personal data is collected, stored, and shared in compliance with the law, and to protect your privacy. Our goal is to inform you in the most transparent way possible regarding how your personal data is collected, the purposes for processing, the parties with whom it is shared, the legal reasons, and your rights in accordance with Article 10 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698.
Purpose of Processing Personal Information
Our company provides alarm monitoring services in accordance with the Private Security Services Law No. 5188 and related regulations. Due to the fulfillment of contracts within our company's scope of activities, personal data such as name, contact details, identity information, entry-exit records, cookies, audio and video recordings, IP address, title, company worked for, and corporate contact details, alarm and security reports are processed based on legal grounds such as being explicitly required by laws, being directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract, the necessity for the company to fulfill its legal obligations, being made public by the data subject, the necessity of processing for the establishment, exercise, or protection of a right, and processing being necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller without harming the data subject’s fundamental rights and freedoms.
- Using necessary systems for ensuring security (cameras, alarm systems, turnstile and card access systems, etc.)
- Personalizing services according to demands; updating and improving them due to customer needs, legal, and technical developments.
- Fulfilling obligations under the Private Security Services Law No. 5188, notifying relevant authorities such as police or gendarmerie via written and/or automated systems.
- Conducting security drills and inspections.
- Processing identity information, contact details, entry-exit records, cookies, audio and video recordings, IP address, title, company worked for, and corporate contact details in relation to administrative, financial, legal, and other activities to fulfill legal obligations, publicize rights, or fulfill legitimate interests.
- Personal data is collected through various channels such as our company’s employees, customer representatives, partner websites, applications, and from public sources such as our website, mobile app, call centers, social media accounts, security cameras, alarm systems, and other electronic security systems.
Application Topics
In accordance with Article 11 of the Personal Data Protection Law, individuals whose personal data is processed may submit requests to Alarmdc regarding the following:
- Learn whether their personal data is being processed.
- Request information if their personal data has been processed.
- Learn the purpose of processing their personal data and whether it is being used in accordance with that purpose.
- Learn the third parties to whom their personal data has been transferred within the country or abroad.
- Request correction of their personal data if it is incomplete or incorrect, and request that the correction be communicated to third parties to whom the data has been transferred.
- Request deletion, destruction, or anonymization of their personal data if the reasons for processing no longer exist, and request that the operation be communicated to third parties.
- Object to a decision made solely on the basis of automated processing, including profiling, which may result in an adverse outcome for them.
- Request compensation for damages caused by unlawful processing of their personal data.
Situations Outside the Scope of Application Rights
According to Article 28 of the Personal Data Protection Law, the following situations are excluded from the scope of the law, and individuals will not be able to assert their application rights:
- Processing of personal data for official statistics by anonymizing it for purposes such as research, planning, and statistics.
- Processing personal data for artistic, historical, literary, or scientific purposes, or within the scope of freedom of expression, provided it does not violate national defense, national security, public safety, public order, economic security, private life, or personal rights.
- Processing personal data by authorized public institutions and organizations in relation to preventive, protective, and intelligence activities as part of their legal duties.
- Processing personal data by judicial or enforcement authorities in relation to investigations, prosecutions, judgments, or enforcement proceedings.
In accordance with Article 28, paragraph 2 of the KVK Law, the following situations also exclude the assertion of rights, except for the right to seek compensation for damages:
- When processing personal data is necessary for the prevention of crime or the investigation of criminal acts.
- When processing personal data that has been made public by the data subject.
- When personal data processing is required for the performance of duties by authorized public institutions or professional organizations.
- When processing personal data is necessary for protecting the State's economic and financial interests in budget, tax, and financial matters.
Alarmdc's Response Procedure and Time for Applications
In accordance with Article 13 of the KVK Law, Alarmdc will respond to personal data owners' requests within 30 (thirty) days at the latest, free of charge. However, if the process requires additional costs, a fee may be charged according to the tariff determined by the KVK Board. Alarmdc may reject the application and provide a written or electronic explanation in certain situations, such as:
- When it interferes with the rights and freedoms of others.
- When it requires disproportionate effort.
- When the information is public.
- When it jeopardizes the privacy of others.
- When the situation is outside the scope of the KVK Law.
Other Considerations
Alarmdc may request additional information from the data subject to clarify the request and ensure accuracy in processing the personal data.
